Under the Hood: Fedora Linux and Upstream Communities On November 1st the Linux Users Group welcomes Jared Smith, Fedora project leader, who will share his thoughts on upstream communities and their role in the rapid release cycle of the operating system and innovation on the desktop. Smith is a popular contributor to Fedora, the second most popular Linux distribution with 22,000 contributors. He has helped with the development of VoIP-based Fedora Talk, and participated with the infrastructure and documentation teams. The free presentation and Q&A runs from7:00PM-9:00PM.
