Normally, the sound daemon allows for this. When the sound daemon is not configured properly streams might cause conflicts.<\/p>\n<p>What is good fs to use now that the Reiser FS guy is in jail ?<br \/>\nThe Reiser fs is still a good fs but it is not going anywhere with the main developer<br \/>\nin jail for allegedly murdering his wife. So, some of the other high powered journaled file-systems are<br \/>\nJFS IBMS<br \/>\nXFS SGI&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>We had some problems with cdmounting with a laptop. After some troubleshooting, it appeared that the cdrom was either bad or the machine was using a bad driver for the cdrom.<\/p>\n<p>There was some talk about grub.<br \/>\nWhen using grub, Mark said beware of the &#8216;save default&#8217; flag in the grub config. He said one of his<br \/>\nlittle ones pushed the power button on boot and boot record got corrupted.
