\n– Not sure if this can be used under Linux. Someone was trying to use it with a westel modem. It may work. It is not very well documented but is in the 2.6.8 kernel.<\/p>\n
setting hardware addresses for network cards
\n– Some applications have licences associated with network cards. If you change the network card, you can’t use the software anymore. So, if this is a Linux application one way to work around the licence would be to modify the mac address in the OS level. Linux is the only OS that I know that lets you do that.
