[Lugstuff] Linux System Admin Job Opportunity!

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and suitably experienced candidate to administer and maintain over 100 servers in their test, development and production environments.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the status and performance of servers. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing software and hardware upgrades, maintaining up to date configuration for the servers and building kernels from source. Duties of the ideal candidate may also include system troubleshooting and repair, hardware and software tech refresh, software package management, and server configuration management. The candidate will also be responsible for databasing and tracking computer and network assets.

Required Experience:

* Three (3) to Five (5) or more years of experience in System Administration and/or computer and communications systems.
* Experience building Linux servers and Windows machines and experience working with various operating systems with both platforms.
* Experience with scripting languages in order to maintain and create scripts that perform system administration.
* Experience with setting up virtual machines, hosting servers in the cloud, and virtual networks.
* Experience with web servers, nginx, lighttpd.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
